The McKesson plantar fasciitis night splint treats plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, foot drop and heel pain. The splint helps to reduce pain and discomfort associated with plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis by aiding in the controlled application of a prolonged stretch on the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon. It works by holding the foot in the dorsiflexion position, meaning the plantar fascia (ligament that connects heel to the front of foot) is stretched out to prevent it from tensing up while sleeping. This traditional, boot-style splint rests on the back of the leg, calf, and foot. Although bulkier than other night splint styles, the traditional, boot-style splint provides a more effective solution with its rigid shell and adjustable, bilateral dorsiflexion straps to provide a support and custom amount of stretch.
